Brady eyes Patriots return against Kansas City
BOSTON (Reuters) - New England Patriots quarterback Tom
Brady said on Monday he expects to be fit for his team's
regular-season opener on September 7 after injury. Brady has
missed the Patriots' last three preseason games due to a
right-foot injury, but made it clear he was anticipating
playing against the Kansas City Chiefs.

| Rams sign running back Jackson to six-year contract
NEW YORK (Reuters) - St. Louis Rams running back Steven
Jackson signed a six-year contract Thursday, one day after
ending his holdout on a new deal. Financial terms were not
disclosed by the Rams but the 235-pound Jackson is widely
expected to be one of the highest paid backs in the league.
