Guard Smith signs multi-year deal with the Nuggets
DENVER (Reuters) - The Denver Nuggets have re-signed
specialist three-point shooter J.R. Smith to a multi-year
contract, the team said on Friday. Smith, a 22-year-old guard,
has averaged 12.6 points per game for the Nuggets over the last
two seasons since being acquired from the Chicago Bulls in July
2006.

| Forward Miles looks to resurrect career with Celtics
BOSTON (Reuters) - Free-agent forward Darius Miles,
sidelined by injury for the last two seasons, was acquired by
the NBA champion Boston Celtics on Friday. Miles, selected
third overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2000 draft,
missed the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons due to surgery on his
right knee.
